Stamp of Approval – Body Shop Chamomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

Folks, I told myself that I wasn’t going to use my blog for promotional reasons, but there are a few products out there, that when I come across them, I just want to share with everyone I know.  Now is one of those times, so every once in awhile, you’ll see posts marked Stamp of [...]

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am on the farm in Iowa, but wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  I’ll be traveling to my aunt and uncle’s house later this morning, but wanted to quickly pop in here.  In the spirit of the day, I decided to make a list of all the things I’m thankful for this year.

That [...]

In the desert, but not alone

I love the song “Desert Song” by Hillsong!!  It’s been my saving grace the past week, which sadly has been pretty rough.  For some reason the lyrics are really speaking to me right now.  It’s been inspiring (and a good reminder) that I still have much to praise and be thankful for, even when times [...]

The season’s first snowfall?

Say it isn’t so!  Capital Weather Gang is predicting a light dusting of snow tonight.  I might just cry.  And I’ll say it again (I say this every year), if it snows, I’m moving south!

President Barack Obama

Even if you don’t like the sound of that, America has spoken. And very decidedly I might add. Barack Obama came out victorious last night. I for one am glad that it’s over. I may not agree with Obama on some issues, but he will be the next President of the [...]

I Voted!

It came down to the wire today, as I still had no idea who to vote for as I was standing in line. But considering, I had two hours to make up my mind, I had a pretty good idea by the time I got to the voting booth.
So, knowing that the polls would [...]

The final two days

Two days left, and I couldn’t be happier.  For one, I am really tired of all the talk about the election.  I know it’s important, but I’m so over it.  Can’t we just get this over with and find out who the winner is?  The suspense is killing me.  It’s like waiting for Christmas to [...]
