Cuil ain’t so cool

There’s a new search engine emerging on the scene today.
Former Google employee Anna Patterson, ventured out on her own with a group of other ex-Googlers and started Cuil (pronounced “cool”), which began processing search results at www.cuil.com.
So, I tried it out. Did a quick search for “Jenny Martin” and NOTHING came back. Seriously, [...]

I was from “here to there” from Stephen Colbert!

My life is now complete.
I can die a happy woman now.

Yesterday, I got oh, so close to the greatest living American, and it was oh, so great.  Cassie and I headed to New York City to see a taping of The Colbert Report – my favorite show. Ever.  We stood in line for more than [...]

Play Nice!

So, in typical DC fashion, the city was hit hard again by another wave of violence over the weekend. Two more deadly shootings, one killing a 13-year-old boy in Trinidad who was visiting his great grandmother.

The AP released a story on Sunday about how animal rights activists have taken their protests from the streets to the personal homes of scientists and researchers, terrorizing these people for the research they perform on animals. Windows of researcher’s homes have been shattered, glue has been poured into their door locks, along with [...]

Google Ordered to Hand Over YouTube Viewer Logs

In Viacom’s $1 billion lawsuit against YouTube, a federal judge last week ordered Google, who owns YouTube, to give Viacom’s lawyers access to viewer logs, disclosing what videos are being watched, who watches them and when.
Viacom insists that it is only going to use the information to prove copyright infringement by YouTube on popular shows [...]

John Mayer is Where the Light Is

It comes as no big surprise to those who know me that I’m not at all disappointed with John Mayer’s latest release, Where The Light Is – a live recording from December 8, 2007, in Los Angeles.  It’s got some new content, but fans will already be familiar with the set list.  The great thing [...]
