The door is open . . .

. . . and I guess I’m walking through it. Hello blog world! I have always thought I was tech savvy, but for some reason, blogging scares me. I have no problem having Facebook or MySpace pages, but I guess there is a certain vulnerability when speaking your thoughts directly to the unknown – for anyone and everyone to see. I guess since I’m an advocate for blogging at my office (and have gotten shot down time and time again), I should probably put my fingers to the keyboard and practice what I preach!

I’m looking at this as just one step closer to that dream of writing my own book. Somehow (although we learned otherwise in class last night), this doesn’t seem as permanent and final as putting my writing on paper. It’s more relaxed, a little less scary, and probably a lot more about me.

Ultimately, I see this as a place for friends and family to come, see and hear what I’ve been up to living on the East coast, and start the dialogue that is now deeply entrenched in how we interact on the Web. So, I invite any and all comments, let’s do this blog thing together!
